Racism between black and whites is still relevant in today’s generation but blacks throughout the world now have equal rights and are respected more than the past. Back then black lives had as little meaning as a piece of meat and they were used as slaves, maids, and so on. Blacks used to have many inequalities like not being able to sit on the bus where whites used to sit, they didn’t have a voice, if they showed any violence they would be put into prison, and they also were blamed on many things that they didn’t do by whites. Racism has changed because of many people that have stood up for blacks like “Martin Luther King Jr”, “Rosa Parks” and many others that have improved racism. Of course racism still exists today but it’s not as harsh and violent for example the kkk, a klan in the early 1920 who hate black people and would go out and terrorize them just because of the color of their skin. The Klan still exists today but the population of people who joined decreased sufficiently over the past couple of years. I don’t think racism would ever go away but if we support, stand up for, and treat everyone as an equal then it could help the society with having better connections with everyone and not just putting people in a category and judging them by what race they are.
