5 most iconic Easter eggs in the uncarted games
One of the most popular and lucrative video game franchises ever is the Uncharted series. The Naughty Dog-created television show chronicles the exploits of treasure hunter Nathan Drake and his companions as they travel to exotic locales, solve riddles, and engage in combat. The games have developed a reputation over time for their secret Easter eggs, which up the fun and intrigue factor of the gameplay. Here are the top five Easter eggs found in the whole Uncharted franchise.
- Crash Bandicoot in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Players can locate a playable version of the vintage PlayStation game Crash Bandicoot in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Players can control Crash as he jumps and spins his way through the game’s levels on a TV that can be discovered in Nathan’s attic. A homage to Naughty Dog’s early years, when the studio created the original Crash Bandicoot games, is made by including Crash Bandicoot.
- Jak and Daxter in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception
Another Easter egg that pays homage to Naughty Dog’s past can be found in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. In one level, players can find a poster for Jak and Daxter, another popular PlayStation franchise created by Naughty Dog. The poster is hanging on a wall in a hidden area, and it can be easy to miss if players aren’t looking carefully.
- The Last of Us in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
It comes as no surprise that Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us, another well-known video game series, appears in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. A newspaper with the title “Scientists are still striving to explain dangerous fungus” can be found in one level. This is a reference to the fungus in The Last of Us that causes the zombie-like infestation.
- Nathan Drake’s Ring in Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune
In Drake’s Fortune, the first Uncharted game, there is an Easter egg that predicts what will happen later in the series. Nathan Drake can be seen wearing a ring on his right hand in the game. The Latin writing on the ring reads “Sic Parvis Magna,” which translates to “Greatness from tiny beginnings.” Later games use this inscription as a major plot point.
- Marco Polo’s Ships in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
A fleet of Marco Polo’s ships that are stranded in the Himalayan highlands serves as the setting for one of the game’s most iconic levels, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Players can locate a secret area in the level where they can view Marco Polo’s map of his journey to China. As another homage to the series’ themes of travel and adventure, the map also bears the line, “May the road you have chosen lead to your desires.”

Why the Uncharted franchise is the best solo campaign of all Time.
I have played too many solo campaign’s to count. I have completed almost all the classic’s, the PlayStation exclusives, the Xbox exclusives, and even some switch games. Out of all of them, the uncharted series stands out like a sore thumb.
The uncharted games, are all extremely unique compared to any other solo campaign. There’s contrast just like a good fit, there is non stop action, area’s that might take days to figure out their secrets and puzzles, and demonstrates the power of friendship, brotherhood, and love.
Gameplay:
The uncharted franchise has unique, and constantly updated gameplay. The shooting mechanics are something I have never seen from any other game, where you can blind shoot without peaking, and it’s much more realistic when it comes to gun sway, and aiming in general. The climbing in this game is one of the most iconic features of the franchise, since the company naughty dawg has made other games like The Last Of Us where the movements is similar, but still doesn’t come close to smooth it feels in Uncharted.
Story:
The storyline in every uncharted game is unmatched compared to any other solo campaign I’ve every played. There are twists, betrayals, and unexpected turns all throughout the uncharted timeline. Almost every uncharted story is perfect, with no holes in the story, the 4th being my favorite. The players who look through the world of Nathan Drake, begin to feel motivated with him, and understand his struggle, since every uncharted game has many levels which give us a perfect idea of the past where you’d play as the person describing the event and relive it.
Every uncharted game story has you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire playthrough. For example, when I was first playing uncharted 4, I became so invested, and captivated as to what will happen next. Hours would pass by, it would be night time already and I would have never noticed.
Graphics:
The uncharted games, have always been famous for bringing visuals and details never seen before, and way ahead of their time. For example, in charted 4, Nathan drake, and all other characters, are built with 4 MILLION polygons, which is an incredible amount of detail, especially for a game that came out 7 years ago. Every single time an uncharted came out, they had the BEST graphics of their time, and better graphics then future games to come.

“The 100”, how good it is, and how I relate.
The 100 by kass Morgan has hands down, one of my favorite plots of a story. This book has great imagery and makes it fun to read. The descriptive writing makes it similar to watching the live-action version of the story, on Netflix. This book reflects the adventurous part of who I am. I have loved venturing out and exploring ever since I was very young, and a lot of this story is about exploring, in every aspect. The story has a lot of action, suspense, and movement. I love playing sports and playing video games which are both parts of who I am and I relate to the style of the book and show. The story is really interesting, and the main characters are all around my age, so I can relate to how they make mistakes and learn from them, and just how they think in general. The book is a combination of some of my favorite story types, a dystopian story, and being science fiction, so not being too far from reality either, and isn’t completely far-fetched.
Visual safety guide – Ali
Fire (i.e. what to do if one happens)
If it’s a grease fire, put a lid on it to choke the fire and deprive it of oxygen.
If it’s an electrical fire, try unplugging the device that’s on fire if possible, sometimes it’s the current that keeps the fire alive.
Burns/Scalds (i.e. how to treat)
Hold under water for 10 minutes to stop the continuing burning sensation.
Do not pop the burn blister, as it will leave a scar.
Chemicals
Store away from food storage and contact areas, to keep the food safe.
Do not mix two different cleaning substances, to prevent creating a gas that will slowly melt your insides. Which was used in the war.
Slips/Trips/Falls (i.e. how to prevent)
Never running in the lab, to prevent slipping from oil, or tripping.
Put everything back to where it belongs when not in use to prevent someone from tripping over it.
Cuts (i.e. how to prevent/how to treat)
Point the knife away from yourself, to prevent accidentally stabbing yourself.
Use the three-finger claw technique to keep the knife from the tips of your fingers.
Heavy Lifting (i.e. of a bag of flour)
Get someone from the group to help lift, to avoid back injury.
Be aware of your surroundings, to prevent bumping into someone or something.
How to Prevent Food Poisoning
Always use a clean cutting board, to prevent things like salmonella.
Never put cooked meat on the same surface it was on when it was raw because the bacteria left from when it was raw can transfer
Waste Management
Having the waste bin in the washing area to be able to more easily dispose of food scraps before rinsing and washing them.
Frequent maintenance to keep bad odors away.
Personal Hygiene
Use a hair tie if your hair is long enough to go under your shoulders, to keep your hair from getting into food, and getting your hair dirty.
