Math 10 – Ali
-Number 5 on my list would be factoring and distributing numbers and all the different ways of doing it.
-Number 4 would be when I learned the names of the three sides of a triangle and all the different equations (ex: SOH CAH TOA) used to find the length of a side or degree if it’s unknown.
-Number 3 on my list would be coordinates and the different ways of graphing (ex: graph, table of values, arrow diagram, equation).
-Number 2 for the list would be slope and finding the rate of change. And of course how to do slope (ex: rise over run, x or y-intercept), also how to find range or domain, etc.
Number 1 on this list is polynomials. How to do Factoring 1 2 3 (is it a difference of squares, are there 3 terms, are there two terms, etc), How to distribute the different terms, and doing large equations.

Week 7 summary
Step 1 is just to analyze the equation for an x and y
The first step to finding the x-intercept is turning the “y” into a “0”
The second step is to isolate the variable by dividing the number beside the variable by itself and dividing the number on the other side by that number.
Then, when finding the y-intercept, you cancel out the “x” by turning it into a “0”.
The last step is to do the same step with the x-intercept by isolating the variable and dividing it by itself and the other side by that same number.

Power law:
I chose the power-law because from what I saw, the power-law was commonly used usually as the first step when encountering a question in this unit. There are many different types of equations, but I chose the power-law since I think it was the most important due to how it can be a simple but very important first step to any equation.
ex:
The idea of the power-law is quite simple, all it is you first remove all the brackets by applying all the exponents before the other steps.
The second step would be to apply either of the other laws like the division law, multiplication law, or the zero exponent law.
Lowest Common Multiple (LCM):
The first step is to do the prime factorization of the two numbers and write them out as seen in the photo.
The second step is to match the numbers on both prime factorizations just like how here you can match the 4 pairs of 2’s.
Then you write out the matched numbers times the numbers that were left, which in this case there was a 3 and a 7.
The third and last step is to simply multiply all of it and here the answer and the lowest common multiple (LCM) would be 336.
1) Briefly, explain what public broadcasting is?
Public broadcasting is when a company for example broadcasts things like the news or sports daily news, weather forecasts, interviews, and documentaries. Except all of them are put out to the public which is what makes to different from private broadcasting. Public broadcasting can be in different forms like a television channel, radio station, and even movies, sports, and advertising.
2) Briefly, discuss who is Canada’s public broadcaster, and what do they provide?
Canada’s public broadcaster is the CBC. They provide us with all types of news for different interests. For example comedy, sports, music, radio, podcasts, etc. They made a kids version that’s easier to understand. The CBC provides important news and information like events problems happening around the world etc.
3) In-depth, answer ONE of the following questions:
