Edible DNA

Alexis Aragon

My model:

1.This model shows that DNA looks like a double helix ladder. DNA reproduces and can be interchanged because the combinations (T and A, and G and C) are almost unlimited.

It shows that DNA can be different for everyone and holds genetic information with the different “ladder steps” and order.

This model of DNA shows how DNA can copy itself very easily, because the marshmallows are interchangeable and the order of the nitrogen bases “the ladder steps” can be switched. And that’s how everybody has different DNA.

2. Some more questions that I have about DNA are: How can DNA genetics be similar when you have kids and family if everyone’s DNA is different? How is there nobody in the world with the same DNA as another person? I found out for the first question, that a children’s DNA is a random mix of genes from all four of their grandparents and some from the biological parents. For the second question I Found that there are only matching DNA ‘s for identical twins and most people on earth have 99.9% matching DNA and only a 0.1% difference.
