For this project, our class had to create a creative way to represent multiple data sets and explain why they are relevant to each other and to us. My partner and I decided to focus on the relationship between the amount of emissions per country to the air quality and deaths from lung disease in that country. We created a map of the world in which each individual country was shaded in according to the number of lung deaths for that country in 2021. We then decided to use balloons to represent the air quality and the amount of emissions in that country. The height of the balloon shows the air quality and the size of the balloon represents the number of emissions for that country. We created a legend near the bottom of the map along with an explanation of our diagram to help viewers understand what each factor represents.
