Desmos Art Function Card 2023 Hubbard

Throughout this Desmos Project, I got a chance to learn deeper into functions, and linear relations. My biggest tip in this project was setting a certain value for each slopes, and even intercepts so that the line is adjustable, which made my designing easier and more efficient. When I first started this project, I really had no idea how to make the lines connect perfectly, how to color, and the different types of functions. When connecting lines, I learned that by using the intercepts of two lines and the slopes in between them, I am able to connect two lines using a another line perfectly. One of the struggles I had in this project was using that I was not allowed to use range restriction, and only domain. The reason for this was because y restriction was used for coloring. By putting a lower f(x) line, and <y< with the line above which you want to fill in with colors. I first started drawing lines with y restrictions because they were easier and I thought it was more efficient, but I realized that I am not supposed to, which I struggled because I had to delete some portions and restart it again. I was able to get great help from my teacher Ms. Hubbard, who taught me how to do all of connecting lines and restrictions. I also got help from my classmate, who explained and showed me the different types of functions. Since I had better understanding of types of functions, I was able to use all 7 of the given functions properly.
