Paper Airplane Experiment

The hypothesis of this experiment “If we throw a plane that has smaller wings and built in aerodynamic features, then the plane will go further, because the paper airplane will glide through the air longer.”

The paper air planes that we tested were and there average

  • regular airplane = 9.4 meters
  • folded wings = 11.4 meters
  • folded bottom = 10.2 meters

I think that our hypothesis is supported as with modifications to the plane aerodynamics, the plane cover more distance than with no modifications.

I learnt that even the smallest change to the paper airplane’s build can change everything.

Maybe for next time, I would change the size of the plane to see if size mattered.
