May 9th, 2022- Today I got started on the first mug on the wheel, as well as under-glazing the pinch mug that I had already brought in.

May 16th- In the past week, I’ve made tremendous progress with the first half of this inquiry, for I have finished overglazing the first two mugs. I also managed to make the second pinch mug at home, and plan on bringing it in next week to glaze and fire.

May 24th- Last Thursday I made the second and last mug on the wheel, and today I added the handle. After coming in from the weekend, I also found that the other wheel mug’s overglazed popped, which makes it not food safe, so I plan on remaking another one in the upcoming week. Although this is a tremendous setback, I think I now have much more knowledge on how to make a bettered mug, notably the fact that I can now make a loop handle in order to make the two mugs uniform.
