Throughout this project I was given the task to transform a short story into a screenplay. We were given two story, and the story I chose is “Marionettes Inc”. In the story I found that there are a lot of dialogue, so I thought that it was important broke it down into important parts. When writing the screenplay, I thought that it was important to provide a very descriptive setting that’s why I used many slug lines.  Additionally, I use many descriptive words in the action/description to better convey the scene of the screenplay to the reader. When cutting the story into important parts I made sure that I include all the characters, setting, and most importantly the plot, since the story is mainly narrative. Once I have my screenplay ready, it will have a more descriptive style to it, because of all the parentheticals and the actions in my screen play. Overall, I learned that there are many forms of writing types, and in these classes I was able to learn four different types of writing. Now, using this assignment I am able to demonstrate the thing that I have learned in class, and possibly even apply some of these skills in the future.
