Indigenous health care podcast self reflection
The experience I shared with my group was good, we were productive in presenting our information on the topic and went in depth when looking at health problems some indigenous peoples face in their day to day lives. When writing the script for our podcast and recording, we used communication with each other. We shared ideas for what to write such as facts we found or information to use to back up our information, we used multiple sites such as Topic Finder, YouTube, Encyclopedia etc. However, during the recording sometimes myself or other group members tripped over words or would not speak our lines because of miscommunication. In the end we were able to make a phenomenal podcast at the cost of not being able to get to the six minutes requirement.
short story stop motion
The theme is that gangs are uncaring if you are dying, they will not help you in the face of adversity and that nobody genuinely cares about you until you are dead. This represents the theme because throughout the story nobody was willing to help him, and the Royals did not help.
The assassin kills Andy in the first scene and flips away.
The mob boss and the assassin return to laugh and mock him then leave.
The girlfriend and the police officer throw his corpse into a dumpster as a “burial”.
We showed much of the communication core competency because we had many calls over the weekend and after school to make plans and work on the assignment with all the time we had. We also enjoyed showing our video to many people not in our group to gain feedback on our projects.
We planned our project ahead of time which helped us get this project on time. We collaborated and did our roles of the assignment. We could have added more clips to make it look smoother.
- ie. This project had me exercise my critical thinking core competency, as it was often difficult to film such a video in such a short time. Therefore, we had to make good use of the time and also communicate with one another to make sure we were prepared for filming days, bringing all items to class that we needed to incorporate in each shot.
In this project I was critically thinking by finding ways to trouble shoot problems by sending the original video because most platforms for sending videos or chatting does not allow a large quantity of MB to be sent. so I sent the video in different increments and put the video back together so some one else in my group could edit the video so the stop motion could be as high quality as possible as if you were watching a actual film.
In this project I used communication with my group during the process of making this stop motion because we would coordinate what shots we wanted to take, what shots we didn’t want, and ways to make scenes better. For the rest of the making of this film we discussed the sound affects and emotions we wanted are characters to portray in this film so we could try to make the audience feel emotionally engaged to the characters.
In this project I used personal and social competencies I used these competencies by using Lego figures and props as personal thing because i grew up with building Lego so my group decided to use Lego figures.
