The Magic of Light

The magic trick demonstrated in the video above is able to work because of the characteristics of light. The glass of water acts as a convex lens. When light travels through different mediums such as glass and water, the light bends and is called refraction. The image also gets inverted. Glass and air have a close index of refraction, therefore decribing how much the light bends.
