This week in Pre Calc 11, I learned how to solve quadratic equations using the quadratic formula. In algebra, the quadratic formula is a formula that provides the solution to a quadratic equation and can be used to solve any quadratic equation.

When you first look at this, it may seem very intimidating and impossible to use.

Examples of equations that can be used for the quadratic equation:

Let’s try an example of using the quadratic equation.

x^2 - 6x +4 = 0

So first we need to set a,b,c values. A would be the first # so x^2 which just turns into 1. The b would be -6, and the c would be 4.
