Local volunteer opportunity – Tree spree
The volunteer role is in my community because is in coquitlam so it is only a bus ride away, it is a role to help plant trees in public places like parks and private spaces like private communities. They also include public education, tree giveaways to residents and businesses to also plant around the community, and tree planting sessions as community events and activities. This opportunity benefits my future because the program is planting trees and it may not be a huge contribution to the world, it’s how the community will be less polluted with natural gasses. It also benefits my future because if i were to volunteer then i would have a feel for what volunteer work would feel like and have some expertise in volunteer work and working together with other people. I am passionate about getting involved in this field because I would want to help the planet in anyway. Because of how people are destroying the planet the next generation then it would be better to invest into contributing to volunteer work.
Employment opportunity – Carnaval staff for Richmond night market
The employment opportunity i am researching is Staff for the richmond night market, mostly the drink sellers which is (but not limited to) greeting customers, setting up drinks booths, selling drinks, tallying cash, handling cash, and counting cash. This employment opportunity can benefit my future by making me more experienced in the retail side of jobs which can be really helpful if i want to get a part time job in a retail store because i would already have some experience helping out customers with their need and handling cash or if i would want to go into retail in the future. Some of the job qualifications are friendly, adaptable, hardworking, punctual, motivated, and works well in teams as well as individually. Some qualificational assets that would be nice but not required is a secondary language and past experience in making balloons. Some of the qualifications I have is adaptable, hardorking, working in teams and individually, counting cash, handling cash, and tallying cash. Some steps i would need to take is getting used to public transit because i might not have a ride to get to the job when needed.
