Modeling Mitosis

Here are the stages of the cell cycle.

interphase

The cell carries out normal functions.

Mitosis

Prophase

Spindle fibers form and attach to the centromeres of chromosomes.

Metaphase

The chromosomes align on the center of the cell

Anaphase

The spindle fibers pull sister chromatids to the opposite poles of the cell.

Telophase

In this stage, spindle fibers disappear and nuclear membrane forms around each separated set of chromosomes.

Cytokinesis

This is the separation od the nuclei into two daughter cells.
