Strength and weakness reflection
1. Collaboration Reflection
Atomic theory unit
My strength was always checking in with the group members, because I understood most of our material, so I wanted to make sure everyone did.
My weakness was showing all the steps, sometimes we just talked about it instead of writing it down.
Bonding unit
My strength in the bonding unit was being open to new strategies for finding the answer we were looking for.
My weakness was letting the group advance while I still didn’t understand.
Mole unit
My strength was actively listening to the other group members so it could help me understand.
My weakness was needing others to take the lead because this unit was very confusing for me.
2. Lab skills reflection
Atomic theory unit
My strength in our atomic theory lab (noodlium) was making sure I took accurate measurements.
My weakness was understanding everything we had to do, some of the questions really confused me.
Bonding unit
My strength in our bonding worksheet lab was understanding most of the material.
My weakness was not finishing the whole sheet; I missed the last 3 questions.
Mole unit
We haven’t had a mole lab yet.
3. Personal Responsibility Reflection
Atomic theory unit
My strength was completing all the practice questions we were given.
My weakness was asking questions when I didn’t understand.
Bonding unit
My strength was understanding most of the material and doing most of the practice.
My weakness was not making great use of my class time and having to work more at home.
Mole unit
My strength has been asking questions when I need help.
My weakness has been working things out when they get difficult.
