Podcast Reflection 

My experiences doing this assignment were good. I got to learn about the experiences of indigenous people in residential schools, while also working on an assignment. It was good for us to learn about this topic and explore the past of indigenous peoples. Me and my partner worked really well together, and we always got stuff done. Our experiences working with audacity were all right, it was easy to use and navigate. The microphones were also easy to use, we just plugged it in, and it worked fine. 

Our group’s path in researching our topic was ok. It took a while for us to find articles about our first subject, and we could not find any videos which made us switch our subject. But after that, we found many articles and videos for our second topic, so it was easy to figure out which articles and videos to use. 

Some obstacles we had while recording was the volume of our neighboring recorders. It ended up being all right but at the start, it was hard to record us talking without background noise. Secondly, we had some issues with speaking, which is normal; we messed up saying a few names and words in the script. 

Some ways we can communicate our learning could be to spread word about the troubles these people had to face. We could positively share it online, or simply go around telling people through speeches, or sharing your podcast and showing it to different people. We can also communicate to others by showing these types of things to more popular people, so it’s easier to spread the word.

How might your digital footprint
impact your high school experience?:

a digital footprint could impact my high school experience. For example, if you said something bad or inappropriate or maybe made some sort of threat, that could be found and you could possibly be even expelled from your school. if you say something, it stays online forever, so even for your job in the future, they could find these things and use them against you. your digital footprint could ruin relationships, and could get you in trouble with even authorities if that is necessary. and if you get in trouble with the authorities, that could impact your education life forever.

What techniques around digital
self-regulation could you use
during class time that could
contribute to academic success?:

I could use different digital self-regulation techniques in many different ways. I could organize all my work and folders on apps such as word so I can get my work done more effectively. I could also use apps on my phone, such as notes, to see what homework is due and keep track of all my work so I don’t get left behind. and as a French student, I could use acceptable translating apps to easily understand difficult words or questions I don’t understand.

How might artificial intelligence
negatively impact your learning
or school experience?:

Artificial intelligence can negatively impact my high school experience. For example, if you use some sort of artificial intelligence for a project, you can get zero percent on the project and you can get in trouble for plagiarism. because copying off of something like chat gpt or another source, is using or taking credit for someone else’s work. if you committed an act of plagiarism during colledge or university, that could end up getting you kicked out of the class, losing lots of money and having to restart all over again.
