Ability Explanation:

Iodine toxicity

refers to an overdose of iodine. an iodine overdose can lead to many illnesses, and in rare cases death. i used the number 50 to represent how many mg’s (approximately) it would take to have a severe overdose.

Iodine dose

refers to an average dose of iodine, to make you stronger, increase your protein count, and helps your thyroid produce more hormones. the number 150, represents the average amount of Mcg of iodine you should be taking per day.

Weaknesses:

fire, because at just 184 degrees C , iodine will lose all of its nutrients and just turn into a gas.

grass, because grass absorbs the most iodine, leaving less nutrients for other plants, or animals in the area.

Implant

dental, and bone Implants are commonly made with platinum. I chose the number 500,000, because this is the average amount of implants made each year.

Electric Shock

Platinum is a great conductor of electricity. the platinum is stretched out to make wires. I chose the number 700, because this is the maximum amount of volts that can travel through platinum before it starts to melt.

Weaknesses:

Price, platinum can cost around 32$ (American) per gram!

rarity, platinum is so rare that all of the platinum ever mined could fit into a storage room measuring 25 feet by 25 feet. This super-dense precious metal is more than twenty times more rare than gold.

The main questions that were asked from my peers were what is iodine and what does it do? Iodine helps the body make thyroid hormones, which control growth and energy. Without enough iodine, people can feel tired and have trouble thinking clearly. It also helps the brain develop, especially in babies and young kids. Foods like fish, dairy, and iodized salt have iodine to keep the body healthy.

The main tool I used to acquire ideas were google, and wikipedia. my google search led me to wikipedia at first, which is where i was able to find most of my needed information.

I also mostly used cross referencing. after finding the information on wikipedia, I made sure to check other sites to figure out even more about my element.

I think my card looks exactly like a pokemon card. the way i used real life weaknesses of an element and than used it to make a pokemon card, i thought was cool.
