In your opinion, based on the theme of this story, how has Canadian history and altitude shaped the First people of Canada’s identity?

In my opinion, people usually hold the stereotype about FN people. In Canadian history First nations settled in Canada by 1000BC. In the story, the totem pole represent the FNs; they are fighting for their land,  so they protesting to the Canadian goverment. However, in the story, English and French trying to destroy their culture. First nations are a part of the land, so people should not get rid of them.
