This week we ended our polynomial operations and started working on factoring polynomials. I didn’t understand the concept of it at first but when we did more of it i understood better.
We also learned some new patterns using multiplication. One of the patterns was for 2-digit numbers that had the same first number, and the last two numbers equaled 10, for example 26 x 24. The pattern works multiplying the first numbers and adding 1 of the numbers, then multiply the last numbers to get the tens, For example: 26 x 24 =624 because 2 x 2 + 2 = 6 and 6 x 4 = 24 totaling 624. some more examples are: 35 x 35 = 1225, 47 x 43 = 2021,
89 x 81 = 7209
