my digital footprint may affect my future opportunities by, for example, if i were to post something questionable or inappropriate i applications.

my digital footprint could also benefit my future opportunities by showing future employers past experiences or current skill sets on platforms like linked in.

that you can use to keep your
digital footprint appropriate and
safe.

one strategy of keeping safe could putting your account on private  which results with people not being able to not automatically follow your account/page. It sends you a request and you can decline or accept after you figure out who it is or reviewed their account. this option is available for most social medias.

another strategy of keeping your digital footprint appropriate is really thinking about what you about to post. Could this affect me in the long term is usually a good place to start,

in addition watching the content you share and being mindful of its impacts is another effective and relevant strategy.

about telling them?

i learnt that the things that you post can be tracked and is permanent in most cases. i would tell my peers to mindful in what they post.
