Fahrenheit 451 Reflection

Fahrenheit 451 Reflection

Our section was on page 62 ~ end of the chapter 1 in the small book. My role was vocabulary enricher. Initially, I asked to write an essay instead of the group presentation project due to lack of confidence. I was not sure about my work skill and understanding of the book. So when I was assigned to the role which is vocabulary enricher, I was concerned about the communication with my group and responsibility of my role. However, I read the book over and over again, and tried to understand the plot, theme, and conflict of the story. I kept fixing my work on our shared document, and made cue cards for my part in the presentation. When I was looking for words, I tried to find related words of the theme and conflict, and wrote the definition as well as the meaning of words behind the book and how words are used in the book.

Do you look like your mom?

When I choose a book, I always read the title first. And I also choose this by title, because it reminds me my mother. I look like my mother as well, and I can realize that every-time when I see a mirror. The author thinks that she looks like her mother, and she is proud of her mother. Her mother raised author and other children in tough time, but she could become successful mother ever. Our mothers are always by our sides, but we didn’t represent our thankful and devotion that much. I think we need more expression to make them happy. This month is exactly 22nd year since the author’s mother passed away. I express my condolences to her, and I am very thankful for the author who remind me the most important woman in my life.
