- It Creates a Social DivideKeeping us with the latest trends is almost impossible for someone who isn’t in the upper class. This has caused a major social divide among the population of people who can and cannot afford these technologies. People feel that when they have the latest devices and technology they can relate to people more or fit in, but that is not the case.
- A Generation of LazinessEverything is becoming easier, and completely done for us, through the use of technology, people are slowly but surly forgetting how to do things the old fashioned way. People don’t work work as hard. You no longer have to pull out the dictionary or visit the library if you need information, you can simply search it.
- Technology isn’t cheap
Technology is expansive. New technologies are difficult for some socioeconomic groups to access because of their cost. That includes technologies that some consider to be essential to life, like medical advances. Reaching some nations with standard vaccines or something basic, like mosquito net to prevent malaria, can be extremely difficult because of the cost involved. - Technology leads to health problems:From computers to televisions to automobiles, cause people to sit for a majority of their day. Constant sitting could be just as dangerous to a person’s health just as much as smoking. Constantly using technology can lead to hand, wrist, and forearm Pain, lead to social isolation, and may even be a contributing factor to the formation of depression-like symptoms.
- It creates the need to constantly upgradeTechnology can create greater efficiencies, but it can also create the needs to constantly upgrade and improve the technologies being used. Tech devices constantly need updating, every new software update, makes. The device that planned on keeping for a while operate slower.
Technology is both a Blessing and a Curse because without it we couldn’t be able achieve a lot things like send astronauts to the Mars to see if mankind can start living on a different planet other than Earth. We couldn’t be able to communicate with our loved ones overseas through video calling or texting. Businesses would never know how to increase efficiency and profits without the use of technology. Using technology in moderations I think is the best way because we need technology, once society learns how to stop overusing technology, we will end up being better.
