  • Ethical Judgement: Who is responsible for starting WWI? Explain using specific details from history.

I think Germany is responsible for WWI because it was the first country who started up the war.

The Germany wanted to expand its place in the world, and it wanted to build up a navy as well. Britain expanded its navy in case to protect their social statement. As a seesaw going back and forth, other countries started to follow up, so their military force won’t be too much behind them. On August 4, 1914, German troops crossed the border into Belgium. In the first battle of World War I, the Germans assaulted the heavily fortified city of Liege, using the most powerful weapons in their arsenal—enormous siege cannons—to capture the city by August 15. The Germans left death and destruction in their wake as they advanced through Belgium toward France, shooting civilians and executing a Belgian priest they had accused of inciting civilian resistance.

Therefore, if Germany were not so ambitious at the beginning, WWI won’t be exist.
