Answer 1. Your digital footprint will always trace back to you and when you want to say something online, you’re going to want to make sure it’s not something that will affect you in the future. You could be at a job interview and the employer could search your name and find something that may not have left good impression, or you could become known by many from a certain career and when people search your name up it could backfire due to the things you might have done in your past online.
Answer 2. The best way to make sure the digital footprints you leave behind are positive is to think before you post, think about the future you could be setting for yourself when you want to post something. Another great way to ensure that your digital footprint is positive is by not upsetting anyone online. The term “hurt people hurt people” is a term that correlates with this, someone on the internet could do something hurtful and you could be really mad and say something worse, doing this leaves both of you with a negative footprint which is something no one wants.
Answer 3. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my years of using electronics, it’s that positive trends are easy to start. If you are going to leave a digital footprint which starts something impactful, make it something positive because anyone can do it, it’s that easy! If there’s one way I could send this message it would be with someone in person because that’s the best way to convey it.
