Technology is the foremost invention known to man, and without it we wouldn’t have many of our basic necessities today. It has helped us be able to connect with people around the world. With applications such as Skype and Instagram, it is easy for us to learn about different cultures and make genuine connections with people we wouldn’t normally be able to. We have plat forms to spread messages and current events around the world instantaneously. This was especially important for our generation and the March For Our Lives movement that brought over 200, 000 people from around the globe to D.C. to attend and support the rally. Having access to technology in developing countries is very beneficial and can greatly improve their economy, it encourages growth for businesses and advances their communication with the entire world. Technology isn’t just incredible for its communications purposes, it has also helped us exceptionally with our environment. The invention of solar panels has greatly reduced the pollution due to fossil fuels because it is renewable energy that depends on the sun. Light-emitting diodes have also lowered the use of electricity in homes because they depend on less energy. The medical industry is constantly discovering new ways to treat patients using technology such as needle-free diabetes care and finding vaccines to diseases that without technology wouldn’t be possible. Handheld devices have been specially designed so that in the case of an emergency, a click of a button you can have on the line with the emergency department. Technology is often looked upon as something that’s ruining our society because of social media and addiction to phones but we are behind that. Technology isn’t the problem, if anything we are.
