what is SOH CAH TOA and how does it work?
It is a way to remember or help you solve the tree main ratios for right triangles.
- Sine is always opposite/hypotenuse
- Cosine is always adjacent/hypotenuse
- Tangent is always opposite/adjacent
Here is an example of how to use SOH CAH TOA
(When you are given an angle, the number is used next to the ratio that is necessary. In the second example, it is 55° with sine)
