Foods 11 March reflection

Calzones Refelction

The Calzones were the most fun I’ve had in Foods 11. It didn’t turn out great but was fun to make and combined many different skills in the Foods 11 class. We made our own dough and even though it was vegetarian meat it was good nonetheless. It was the most fun lab I’ve done to date. I experimented with different shapes and also tried spinach for the first time. It wasn’t that bad. The product was in weird shapes in the end, so no. We didn’t roll the dough out flat enough and make it into the correct shape.I feel like we were all enjoying ourselves and made something that tasted actually kind of good. We worked very well and everyone was participating and actually doing something to help the group. We also pranked Mr. Brett with a Lego piece and that was dumb but hilarious. I would defiantly roll the dough out more and maybe cook the meat more. I’d also add more cheese and make sure that the pocket is in a decent shape. Overall, I think this is the most likely recipe to be made at home. It’s easy, fun and tasted great.
