Biodiversity of Site 2 is

Forest Bio

1.       Site 1 – Grass has the highest species richness.

2.       Site 1 – Grass is the most diverse one.

3.       Site 1 – Grass have both a low Simpson’s index and high species richness.

4.       Conservation for the environment can prevent the species from disappear rapidly, it can also keep the number of species in a high rage can also keep or even increase biodiversity.

Concepts of Constant Velocity and Acceleration

Constant Velocity: This video use graphs to explain how the constant velocity come. He explain how the position changes over time when a car is in a steady speed, and leads to the concept of constant velocity.

Acceleration: This video use both hand-draw picture and graph to explain how the Constant Velocity differ from acceleration. Also the concepts of acceleration – the changes of speed per second, and when the graph become negative, it would called as deceleration.

Compounds of Arsenic

a. Arsenic trioxide (As2O3) and Arsenic trisulfide (As2S3)

b. As2O31 As2S32

c. Arsenic sulfides and oxides have been known since ancient times. The element was first isolated by Albertus Magnus in 1250.

d. Arsenic trioxide: Large scale applications include its use as a precursor to forestry products, in colorless glass production, and in electronics.

Arsenic trisulfide: As orpiment. The ancient Egyptians reportedly used orpiment, natural or synthetic, as a pigment in artistry and cosmetics.

e. Arsenic trioxide: As the symptoms of arsenic poisoning were somewhat ill-defined, it was frequently used for murder until the advent of the Marsh test, a sensitive chemical test for its presence. (Another less sensitive but more general test is the Reinsch test.) Owing to its use by the ruling class to murder one another and its potency and discreteness, arsenic has been called the “poison of kings” and the “king of poisons”.

Arsenic trisulfide: The ancient Egyptians reportedly used orpiment, natural or synthetic, as a pigment in artistry and cosmetics.

f. Arsenic trisulfide: 3

  1. State the problem of this experiment: We dom’t have enough picks for all corners so the conrners that don’t have picks sunk first.
  2. State your hypothesis for this experiment: The bigger the base area is, the more weight boat can hold.
  3. How many pennies did your boat hold? We got 100.
  4. What was your thinking/reasoning behind the design of your boat?  If it more like a square, the pressure would be uniform distributed in all base area so it can hold more weight.
  5. What would you keep/change on your boat design if you were to do this again? We would keep the whole body same but add more picks on the bottom.
