Inquiry #1 Harrison Bergeron
When does control make one want to revolt?
Too much control always makes people want to revolt. In the story, the whole society in under the control of government, seems everyone used to the life without competition, most of them don’t like “everybody competing against everybody else.” But there is always someone wants to be better than others like Harrison Bergeron. When government find Harrison is different, they arrested him and gave him heavy shackles to restrict him. The way to make everyone equal is too cruel. Image if you want to show your talent, but they give you heavy handicap in order to let you “equal” the same as others. This action is getting into Harrison’s last nerve. So he started revolts, but he knew, it is impossible to change this society just by himself. So he makes a plan, to show all the people the cruel of this morbid society by his dead. All the people had seen the bad side of this society, when more and more people realize it’s impossible to make progress without competition. Then, it is time to revolt.
Technology is not the way to restrict people but should make society some porgresses. We need to take out the shackles to revolt, to make society better.
Small Place Small home
Legend Fish House is an affordable Chinese restaurant. It provide many kinds of seafood to create your own soup noodles. The soup here are all made of fresh fish and be stewed for 5 hours to make it tasty. It make me feel like in my hometown because my hometown is on the coast so I had a lot of seafood. It is a peaceful and you can stay here for a long conversation, what you need is just ask for a cup of milk tea. I always enjoy the small dishes before the noodles, it always a small piece of pork or chicken, and makes me open my appetite. So I would expect the noodles then. The noodle smells really good that I want to finish it immediately. When I am eating, I got a feeling like in my hometown, it is so warm and nice. I always glad to stay there for half an hour to aftertaste the fish soup and the noodle. The waiter here are also in same province where I come from. The most important reason why I always go here is because one bowl of noodle here just cost me about 10 dollars, much cheaper then sushi. Thought it would make me satisfaction but sushi cost me double price but would make me full. The seat is so comfortable that I don’t even what to move after I sit down. Although it is a small restaurant but for me, it is a perfect restaurant with the feeling of my hometown.
