For my movie pitch, I’m thinking of doing it on the Battle of Ypres. The son(soldier) who was regarded as a dead man, will be back in a few decades so it has a happy ending instead of a sad one. I’ll focus on a soldier’s emotional changes and his mother’s so that I can show the tragedy of war (Although there are some positive aspects). Also, I’m thinking of using perspective of those who disagreed with the war and representing the internal conflict of the son and the conflict between him and his parents.
