When I got my skills check back for the chapters 6.1-6.3 back and when we went over it, I learned and re understood things.

One the thing that I now understand better is when you are re-arranging a equation to isolate the y variable you want to make sure that it is a positive. If and when you have done that you have to divide if there is a coefficient. If you divide then the sign then changes (flips).

Also i learned that when you are using a testing point. It makes everything easier and it makes the equation easier if you use 2 positive numbers instead of 2 negative numbers.

And last I now understand that when you are doing a word problem, to read each sentence clearly and make an equation for each sentence and evidence that they give you. Don’t combine 2 or 3 sentences and the information that they give you all together.
