Kingsway- Old first nations trail, it now follows false creek route.

Gastown- John Deighton had a vision, he paddled in Burrard Inlet on the last day of September. He announced to all the Mill workers they could have all the whisky they could drink if they would help him build a bar. The globe Saloon was up and ready within 24 hours. As they gave him the nickname “Gassy Jack”, That led on to the name Gastown.

Port Moody- Was considered for the pacific terminus but they then realized that the land was to low and not flat enough. So they decided to extend the railway through Port Moody to a new terminus in the English harbour.

End of CPR- The end on the CPR made Vancouver develop because everything and everyone gets off the train their

Fort Langley- One of the oldest site in BC, was the stop where everyone stopped to get supplies for the gold rush

New Westminister- They were going to name it queens bough but they w

North road- port moody had a trail built in the forest to connect new west to Ice- free Burrard inlet.

Hastings mill- Started Vancouver, it brought people here to get jobs.

Hamilton- Corner of Hamilton and hastings was the “starting” place of all Vancouver

Stanley Park- Malcolm macleen wanted a 1000 acres of park.  Stanley park used to also be a military reserve.
