I believe that Atticus Finch is a good father to Jem and Scout is because he is caring but he does not coddle them. He lets them see whats going on in the world he does not shelter them. I also believe he is a good father because he lets Scout be how she wants to be, he doesn’t make her act like a lady all of the time. He allows her to go and be who she wants to be. Another reason why Atticus a good father and just a good person is, he doesn’t believe that something is the truth just because everyone else thinks thats the truth. Like the trial against Tom Robinson he did believe that he didn’t do it even though he was black and the rest of the town did. And the final reason would have to be he makes sure he spends time with his kids and he teaches them life lessons and how to be a good person and stand up for what you want and believe in
