Solving Polynomials with algebra tiles

When you put the braces with the positive numbers on the top all the shaded or positive tiles will be on the top half, and the negatives will be on the bottom half. Also the X^2 will always be in the top left and the single cubes will always be on the bottom right. The X’s will always be horizontal underneath the X^2 and over top of the single cubes.

Factoring polynomials

When factoring polynomials look at the last number in this case the 18 and find all the numbers that can multiply to make that number. Then look at the middle number here is the 11X and see what numbers add together to make that number from the list of factors from the other number.
