problem situation

  1. Do you think that John and Emily are deceiving themselves about being able to do well in their English class?
  • I think they are deceiving. Because they don’t really work hard to get good mark on English so they should do harder for good mark.

  1. What do you think might be the result of the schedule they are following?
  • They need to make a checklist for which one is the most important. And they should follow the list. If they think English work is first thing to them, then they focus on English firstly. And then the other activities are next. Also, there is a final test, therefore, they definitely focus on the test more

  1. If they don’t do well on their English work, will they blame others or themselves?
  • It is their fault, because they do hard for other activities, however, I think they don’t focus on the English work. Even though, if they worked hard for English, although they got bad marks, then it is their limit. So, it is not their fault. But I think they didn’t do hard so they blame themselves
  1. What, if anything, might you do differently if you were in their place?
  • If I were in their place, I will do my English work and study for final test. Because I know what is the most important thing to me in this time.
