affect your future opportunities?

Your digital footprint can affect important aspects of your life like finding a job because your boss might find out you did something online and think your irresponsible and that you shouldn’t have this job. Another reason why your digital footprint could affect future opportunities is because if you’ve done something bad online like send bad photos or make a bad post on something people might think your a bad person which would affect your life. Anyone could find out your digital footprint if they were to look hard enough since most people post photos online on Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and tons of different media’s.

digital footprint appropriate and
safe.
One way of keeping your digital footprint appropriate and safe is just not posting things that can be controversial or inappropriate. You should always think before you post something online because it may hurt someone or it could affect your digital footprint badly. Just because your online that doesn’t mean people can’t find out things about you. Another way of keeping it safe is deleting accounts or just making your accounts private, you can make your account private so only people you let can view things you post. Just make sure the people you let view it won’t show other people. Most people during our decade use the internet for important tasks like work or to find information so it makes sense that we should all be careful online. My last way of making your digital footprint appropriate and safe is not using social media or not making an account for social media. Most people have at least one social media account that they have made, but if you don’t make one you wouldn’t be affected by your digital footprint. If you don’t want to give up using social media then just don’t post things on it if you think their inappropriate.

about telling them?
I learned that you can find out basically anyone’s digital footprint if you look hard enough but sometimes people don’t have digital footprints if they don’t use social medias. I also learned that things that happen online can affect your real life badly depending on what those things are. You should probably put your accounts on private and try to avoid posting things. Try to search for your digital footprint to see if you have anything on it and if you do put your accounts on private.
