Week 1 – math 10

My “ah ha” moment this week was on the question below. (Ignore the  second x beside the -1)_20160210_195645First of all, I converted the fraction 2/3 into a decimal # which made things 10x harder. Then I tried I completely forgot about getting rid of 0 pairs and my answer in the end was something like -2.34556664. So, when I went to the teacher and asked what I did wrong, she explained that you don’t have to convert the fraction into a decimal #, you can just multiply 2/3 with 2x. There’s  my “ah-ha” moment, I remember doing this in Grade 9, I just forgot the steps; BFSD.
