Descriptive Essay: Food and You

First time my brother’s girlfriend’s family and my family met was at Miku so you could say that it is a pretty special place to my brother. Right when you walk through the doors, you definitely notice the open kitchen, every time. Open kitchens are always enjoyable because you can see the chefs that are highly skilled do their “magic”. I say “magic” because their food taste as if it was made by a wizard. The servers and chefs all smile and welcome you warmly; they do not make me feel like you are walking into some kind of trap that you cannot get out of. Most Sushi restaurants are known for their greasy, old fish smell as well as their paper napkins that you only use once, then throw out but not this one. The smell is unique. I say unique because it does not smell like my house but it does not smell like the ocean either. A person like myself is fussy about smells. If food looks appealing but does not smell right, I will not eat it; I feel bad for my mother sometimes. As for the napkins, they are as soft as a baby’s blanket that had just come out of the dryer; one hundred percent cotton. As the server escorts you to your table, you notice how immaculate the place is. Not a dirty spot on a table in sight. The walls are painted white with flowerily-like drawings painted on them. Really brings you back to those times when you only knew how to draw flowers and that was all. When I sat down, my father brought up the fact that there was enough space to move your chair back; it was not crowded what so ever. As I order, I notice how astonishing the view of the water was, especially at sun set. When you look down at the water, I swear you can see dolphins and mermaids swimming around! So much food to choose from, I finally ordered. The Sunrise Roll, King Roll and the Garden Roll were delicious choices. I was never into Sushi really. Never ate it and hesitant to try it again but I chose to make my brother happy. The fresh out of the ocean and phenomenal tuna, prawn and crab hit your taste buds all at once. With a pea size amount of wasabi and a bit of ginger is how I like it from now on. If your family is into going to high-priced restaurants from time to time, I would recommend Miku (“Try the King roll”).
