This week I learned about domain and range and function notation

Function Notation:

  • Just a different way of giving an equation, inputs and outputs with the name included
  • Can be used to find the x or y value

Domain and range:

  • Lists the points on a graph, can be continuous (using inequalities) or discrete (listing individuals numbers)
  • Domain: list of all the independent variables (input, x-value) in a relation/function
  • Range: List of all the dependent variables (output, y-value) in a relation/fraction

  • Can also be found using coordinates
