One of the things I learned in this course was a very simple way to write an essay. I’ve always had trouble writing about 3 different topics about the main topic and I would always end up writing about the same thing, now I can use the 4 square strategy which I think will really improve my essay writing skills. I also learned how to organize my thoughts and get deeper into one of them to get more out of it. Finally, one of the most important things I learned in this course was to properly share my thoughts and ideas with others so everyone can get a say in whatever conversation is going on.
My fondest memory of English 9 would be during the poetry unit, near the beginning. We would play these games/warm up exercises that were always fun; it got me more comfortable with my classmates and it got me to more open in this class.
One tip for succeeding in English next year would be to forget about nerves and just whatever it is that I have to do. When public speaking I always get nervous about what people will think of me and how I will do that I always end up not doing my best. I have to get over my nerves and try to be the best public speaker I can be.
