Stress: Unit 1 Lesson #1 – How Can I Manage My Stress in a Way That Would Benefit My Daily Health?

Stress is a completely normal thing that many of us experience. Stress can come from anywhere whether it’s stress from procrastinating a project or from an upcoming championship game for your sports team. I can manage my stress in a way that would benefit my daily health by doing things that I love to take my mind off things like school and homework for a while. I can reduce stress by meditating and learning breathing techniques that can help me reduce stress and calm my brain and mind. Also, listening to music can help me reduce stress as well while doing homework because it helps me block out interrupting sounds that can make me deconcentrates.

Technology: Unit 1 Lesson #2 – How does technology influence my social, physical, and emotional health?

Technology influences us in many ways. Technology influences my social health because it helps me communicate with others like for example, technology helps me communicate and keep in contact with my friend that lives in Australia. Technology helps to communicate with friends and family that lives far away. Take Skype, for example, that is what my family uses to communicate with each other and unlike calling, it’s free and you can use a camera to see what your family is up to. Technology influences my physical health in a very different way, I use technology more specifically music when I play sports or dance because it helps me concentrate and makes me more inspired and dedicated. Technology affects my emotional health in a positive way, not only do I need music for dancing and laying sports, but it also relieves stress and helps me deeply focus on homework or assignments.

Unit 1 Lesson #3 – How Can I Improve My Communication Skills to Improve My Daily Life?

I can improve my communication skills to improve my daily life by taking actions towards communication. For example, listening to my friend’s problem can help me improve my caring and communication skills by helping my friends and explaining and finding solutions to their problems. I can improve my communication skills to improve my daily life by recording myself talking and re-watching the sentences I make and try to improve them and make them more complexed. Finally, another way to improve my communication skills is to participate in drama and acting and public speaking because it can also help in confidence and can help me improve my communication skills faster.

Activity #4 – Assignment – What does it mean to you to be in an unhealthy relationship?

An unhealthy relationship can mean many different things and there are many different aspects. Like financial abuse when someone is making you pay everything in a relationship or when you make your partner pay for everything and that will make them feel uncomfortable or embarrassed if they can’t pay for all those things. An uncomfortable or unhealthy relationship could also mean that you are forcing your partner to doing stuff without their permission or without consent could lead to a very torn and unhealthy relationship. An unhealthy relationship also means that you don’t feel safe or comfortable communicating or being around your partner for different reasons like, physical abuse, verbal abuse, social abuse and many more.

Activity #5 – Assignment- How are you going to resolve current and future conflicts?

I think that the main point of conflicts is when someone wants to be right about something and they will do everything and anything to win a conflict. I can resolve a current and future conflict by acting in an assertive manner and not being aggressive or passive. It’s important to not to act in an assertive manner because being aggressive or passive and unsure of what you want can cause conflicts. Being overly aggressive can lead to a toxic relationship whether it’s with a partner, a family member or a friend. Being passive can cause a decrease in confidence and people can start picking on you for not being passive and uncertain. That’s why it’s better to resolve conflicts carefully, unaggressive and consciously to make sure you don’t hurt another person and make sure that the problem doesn’t get too out of hand.
