Your digital footprint could highly affect your future opportunities if it’s used in an inappropriate manner. For example, univercities will do a background search through your digital footprint to make sure that their not accepting a bad influenced student that could ruin the universities’s reputation. Another way your digital footprint could affect your future opportunities is if you go to a job interview and they do a background search and you have done some bad stuff on social media they won’t want to hire you.

2.  Describe at least three strategies that you can use to keep your digital footprint appropriate and safe.

Make sure that what you post is appropriate and that if you showed your mom she wouldn’t mind, make sure that if you have a social media account it’s private and if it asks for your personal information don’t give it away, for your account might get hacked and your informations could be leaked.

3. What information did you learn that you would pass on to other students? How would you go about telling them?

I learned a lot of information, a couple tips I would give to students is to just keep your future in your mind and make sure to take precautions while on social media. I would  also tell students to not post something you wouldn’t want your mom dad or grandma looking at. I could tell the students by maybe showing them the harm that could be done if social media is not used properly and the future outcomes.
