Math 10 Weekly blog post week 15

In last week, I learnt about parallel and perpendicular.

Parallel means same slope of two lines

Perpendicular means 90 degrees of two lines.

perpendicular example –

solving rule example 0- (x.y) (x1,y1) x+ (-x1) =denominator

                                                                  y+(-y1) = numerator                 so           y+(-y1)/ x+(-x1) = slope   and.. lastly,  change denominator and numerator, and change + or – to opposite one.
                                                         therefore ,  -{x+(-x1)/y+(-y1)}

parallel example

it has same slope, like y=x+1 = y=x+1   / // /  / same

example

Formula – y= slope * x + y intercept

y = 2x + 1

2 = slope

1 = y intercept.
