Desmos Art Functions Card 2018

To choose what equations I needed for my portrait, I thought part by part. For example, I first started with the head and it was logical to use a semicircle function. For more difficult parts like the hair or the shoulders, I just tried to figure out how I could do this or that shape with functions. I also made sure to use all of them, so sometimes I would have used something else to make it more real, but I wanted to use all functions. It was sometimes hard to find the right coefficients to put in my functions but it began to be easier with the practice. Also figuring out how to “play” with the functions to make them look a certain shape wasn’t easy. I did it all by myself but asked a few questions to Ms. Hubbard. This project was a good reminder of transforming functions and let me further understand how to change their shape by changing coefficients.
