Rubegoldbergproject sk

here is the video for our project.

First we begin by dropping the marble witch will slide down and hit a couple of dominoes witch will let loose 3 more marbles, they will slide down the spiral then hit a car that has a needle attached to it and hopefully it will Pop the ballon.

The 3 different energys  we used was potential/gravitational  kinetic and mechanical.

It’s potential because the marble is rolling down the ramp at a high speed and motion. It’s kinetic because the marbles are flowing down the spiral and in total it’s mechancial.

making a child

meet my and Adens child able!

a. How does the coin flip relate to the probability of inheriting genetic conditions?

The coin flip gives the chances of inheriting genetic conditions 50%

b. How does this simulation accurately represent or not represent real life?

It does not very well accurately represent real life because inheriting genetic conditions is not always 50% and it also depends on many different factors. realistically can occur randomly through recessive genes.

c. Did you identify any prejudices you might have about what traits you find “desirable”? Where do you think these prejudices come from?

I did find that I didn’t want my child to have a to have a huge round head and I also preferred to have a darker complexion just because I wanted the child to have a closer resemblance with me.  I didn’t want an unnormal size large head because its weirder and most people don’t have them.

float your boat experiment -sk

The experiment wasn’t very challenging, but it was a little difficult trying to decide which materials we didn’t need.

my hypothesis was wrong I for sure though the boat was going to sink.  the materials my group used was the tinfoil and tape, the boat t itself was flat I didn’t expect it to hold very well.

my conclusion is that the boat didn’t need extra materials it would have the weight down our tiny boat. the surface area was the key also the direction we folded our boat.
