Does adding salt or sugar to water affect plant growth?
Yes
Yes the salt will affect the plants growth because the salt halts the growth of the plants root system. If enough salt accumulates in the soil and into the roots it can dehydrate the plant. Water with a high concentration of salt can prevent roots from absorbing water from the surrounding soil and could cause stress to the plant. Yes sugar can affect plants extremely because since water is a main resource to keep – plants alive, if sugar is added to plants the cell walls shrink and pull away from each other. Naturally when you add water to a plant its becomes “swollen and hard” this action keeping the plant standing up straight. Sk
Planting 3 plants and watering with water, 3 plants with sugar water, 3 plants with salt water 2.Address ethical, cultural and/or environmental issues.Maybe for some environmental issues are not wanting to waste any seeds is the project doesn’t go so well as expected. We will be using a flower in soil and watering it with regular water, salt water and sugar water. Every few days we will measure the growth of each flower using a ruler.
4.What safety concerns or risks are present? The pant can die or in a bad case cause radiation.
The first people take nature very serious they don’t harm it in any way our environment, if they were aver to do anything it would be a safer cleaner way. – the first people’s are caring people for the community, were trying to find out in some circumstances how plants grow with minimum resource. The first people put a lot of responsibility to care for the environment.

We thought that salt water would halt the plants growth and the sugar would make the plant growth
Faster and stronger and e were right. In conclusion aft the watering these plants every few days and watching them grow we noticed we noticed by adding sugar the plant did grow but with salt it didn’t grow at all. An other explanation was adding sugar to water it did grow since Plants produce there own natural sugar. The method of the experiment was there were three plants with water and three plants with sugar and three plants with sugar. The errors were made when we we’re watering the plants we could have changed places were there were more sunlight. The way we could have improved was if we’re would have planted we might would have better results.
