DOAS Monologues

This following is an example i created of a monologue for the character of Linda from “Death of a Salesman.”

Linda: I mean; I am just so worried about him Happ. I can’t help but wonder what’s gotten into him lately, the constant muttering to himself all day and the anger that has consumed him! Maybe it will just pass after running its course, meanwhile you boys are arguing all day instead of trying to help him in fixing these problems. Happy, you must talk with Biff about getting a job soon, your father cannot handle this indecision with employment. You and your brother, maybe try an spend more quality time with him. I am sure he would enjoy that, wouldn’t you think so? Or maybe I should talk to him, and remind him of the great accomplishments he has been achieving lately although he has only been getting worse. I just worry about him and how stable he really is, maybe it’s about time we all talk with him together instead to help him understand what’s going on.

This is a monologue because Linda is speaking to Happy on the phone, for an extended amount of time without interruption from Happy.

This monologue would fit into the current plot when Happy and Linda are calling on the phone after discovering Willy’s method of trying to kill himself.
