imageThis is a propaganda consist of a message, “all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than other”. This is telling us, they are always others wanting to overpower others, and be the best they could be. Notice the dog beside the proud pig, him having a dog beside him guarding in protection, and being the upperclass. Background include other farm animals, running in fear, do not know what to do, and where to go.
This propaganda is showing these techniques, common enemy, repetition, fear, and bandwagon. Starting with common enemy. In the picture, there is a pig dressed like an “enemy” with a dog beside him. The dog is the pig guarder. Behind him their are other animals running in fear. They are animals that are all equally equal and fair, not like the pig above. The following is showing they have upper class and a lower class in the farm. The ones that always are overpowering and controlling are the pigs and the dog and, their are the ones that are all trying to be even and have equality.
The other technique used is repetition. What is showing repetition is the pig. The message says “all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others”. That quotes is brainwashing the others by having them think that you should follow everything that the “leader” tells you to do. The others does not matter. Some might think , wow this guy is going to be such great influence, misinterpreting the pig being equal and fair with the others
The visual could be quite fearful. Having the audience think that everyone should be equal but not everyone are, some are overpowering others and they are not the same as the other animals in the farm. Once you look at the image, the way the pig and dog look is getting the audience fear for what they would do and fear of future outcomes.
Lastly, the propaganda is showing bandwagon. The pig is physically saying to join the group, do what he says. Having the following saying “all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others” may cause different minds. Earlier mentioned some might think he is going to produce future outcomes to a positive and equal environment. Causing more people to join his army like group, supporting the pig, supporting what they do and accepting their plans for the future. Having this animal standing proud and tall may also cause other animals to think and support them. Growing the group like the pig wants, having power, control, acceptance, is his passion.
