Real Estate Agent

For TOKTW day I went with a family friend Gemma to Keller Williams Elite Realty.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We started our day in a meeting with other agents.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After the meeting we went to her office to send emails to her clients who where currently trying to purchase a house.

After having sent emails we went back to the main building to eat lunch.

After we ate lunch we went to meet a lady named Lydia who gave us a tour of some show homes.

The homes where staged with appliances and looked very pretty.

Real Estate Agent.
2. What is your job description?

Real Estate agents are responsible for selling, buying and renting homes or property for their clients.
3. What are the duties and/or tasks you perform at your job? 

-Negotiating contracts relating to real estate.

-Dealing with transactions relating to selling or purchasing property.

-Consulting with clients through emails about deals on property.

4. What qualifications do you have for this job in the following areas:
a) training? 

-Completion of a real estate training program.
b) education?

-High school diploma

-Bachelors degree is real estate (optional)
c) experience?

-1-3 years of experience as a real estate sales agent.

5. What are some of the things you like about the job? 

-The freedom to have unassigned working hours
6. What are some of the things you dislike about this job?

-Working on holidays you would rather have off

-Lots of travelling

-Payed on commissions (undetermined salary)

7. Is this job for you? Why or why not?
No I would not be interested in this job because I would want a job with a steady salary that I could depend on. As well as the fact that I am interested in working with something to do with science and I would find the job of a real estate agent quite boring.

8. Explain the value of the TOKTW experience in relation to your ideas about your post secondary (after high
school) plans (education?, training?, travel?, work?).

I think the TOKTW experience is a great way for teenagers to have an experience n the real world which can help them determine what they would want and what they would’t want to do when they get older. My experience helped me determine that I would not want to work doing an office job when I am older.
