Sam’s Goals

Academic Goal:

By the end of the school year, I will have achieved above 90% in each of my classes. This goal is realistic, as I have already achieved over 90% in the classes I’ve already taken, but I will still have to work hard to achieve this. I have all the resources I need. I just need to be able to maintain focus throughout the year in all of my classes, and make sure that I complete all of my work, and study for all of my tests. In class, I will be able to ask my teacher for help, but if I am home and they are not available, I can ask my other classmates, or my brother to help me if I ever have anything that I am unsure of or need help with. My biggest obstacle will be losing focus on my goal and in my classes. This can easily happen if I have an easier quarter that makes me become too relaxed with my work. I just need to stay driven, and make sure my work gets completed and handed in before the due dates, and that I study for tests so that I know the material.

Personal Goal:

By the end of the school year, I will be able to do at least 5 back hops on my bike. This goal is realistic with effort and commitment as I can only do 1 at the moment. I have all the resources I need (a bike), but I will have to practice a lot so whenever I go biking, if I’m not riding, or I’m waiting for a friend, I need to practice my back hops. My friends will help me have the motivation to ride, if I ride with them, give me someone to practice with, and give me competitive motivation, to be better than them. The biggest obstacle I will have is motivation because bad weather, or doing other things on my bike, will not help keep me motivated. If I can’t motivate myself to practice, then I won’t be able to achieve my goal.To keep motivated, I can remember this goal, but mainly, I can think about what I’ll be able to do once I complete it.
